Since joining Synergies in early 2021 with a first-class Honours in Economics, Ben has been involved in a wide range of projects across many industries. He has applied a variety of economic tools to contribute to high-profile projects with significant policy implications, with particular involvement in the energy, water and waste industries.
For example, Ben has built and maintained RAB models for water utilities, conducted CBA analysis for high-profile Government projects in waste and water management, prepared independent expert statements on energy market decisions, and has undertaken various custom analyses in industries such as real estate, manufacturing, biosecurity and indigenous affairs. Ben is skilled in both detailed economic modelling and in client-facing tasks, making him a well-rounded economist with quantitative and qualitative capabilities

The Western Australian Marine Science Institution (WAMSI) was established in 2006 by the WA State Government as an independent research organisation tasked with improving the coordination of marine research in WA, promoting collaboration between stakeholders and guiding research priorities. Synergies was engaged by WAMSI to assess the effectiveness and impact of its research program, its strategic investments and its operating model.
