Rob Prydon

Rob has over fifteen years experience in commercial analysis and financial modelling including development of cost allocation methodologies and access pricing structures.

Rob has extensive experience in the energy, telecommunications, water, port and rail sectors, having assisted infrastructure providers, users and regulators alike with costing and pricing work. He has provided economic advice during a number of commercial arbitrations and acquisitions.

Rob joined Synergies in 2004 and specialises in applying economics to the utilities sector with particular emphasis on quantitative analysis. He has significant experience analysing the incentives and efficiency consequences of regulatory arrangements, having previously worked for Duke Energy International and the Queensland Competition Authority.

  • Assisting major rail infrastructure supplier with pricing and access issues;
  • Prepared an assessment of the current environment of the gas market in Australia with Australian Pipeline Industry Association; and
  • Assisting major port infrastructure supplier with pricing and access issues.
